Merry Christmas Readers! In these two episodes of Jimmie Acorn from Children’s Activities Magazine of October and December 1954, Jimmie hitches a ride on the back of Porky the Porcupine and ends up in the city zoo. It’s a big environmental change from the forest of the first chapters, they should have changed the title to “Jimmie Acorn and His Zoo Parade” (apologies to Marlin Perkins). We’ll be doing a New Year’s Eve post very soon with the last Jimmie Acorn story I have. There are a few Children’s Activities mags on-line, but none I could find with Jimmie in them.
