Mabel Concludes 7-9 to 7-26-1919

Here are the remaining “Now Listen Mabel” strips by  George Herriman from 7-10 to 7-26-1919. These gags are mostly about transportation, Jimmy Doozinberry’s motor cycle and Mabel’s fascination with airplanes. Mabel is well-drawn in this group of comics, I especially like the 7-12, that has a rarely seen view of the back of Mabel’s neck, and the last panel, as Mabel gives Tom a tender embrace. Sorry the old Catblog has been silent for so long. Here’s the return of George Herriman’s “Now Listen, Mabel” from 6-23 to 7-9-1919. Jimmie Doozinberry tries to get adopted in to Mabel’s family so that he can be near her, but her Mom just makes a kitchen slave out of him. In the 7-8, Jimmie gets socked with a rock, just like his sister strip character Krazy Kat. I’ll try to post the next couple of batches of “Now Listen, Mabel” as quickly as I can. See you very soon.
