Vic Vac’s Haunted Housemoving

Here’s another in the Vic Vac Halloween series, originally published in the St. Louis Globe-Democrat on 10-28-1962. The painting is loaded with comic detail, notable is the ghost pushing up the moon to clear the way to move the Haunted House to a new location. There’s a steam locomotive, a tractor with extra wide tread and an old streetcar! The streetcars might still have been running in St. Louis in 1962! I also should point out all nine black cats prowling the old cemetery near the lower right side of the composition. Stay with the Catblog for more Vic Vac Halloween fun coming up soon!
